+++ Noises Off +++
Noises Off follows a ramshackle theatre troupe as it rehearses and performs the sex farce Nothing On. Faced with erratic doors, errant sardines, and a questionable plot, the hopelessly underprepared actors bravely stumble through the dress rehearsal. But soon on-stage and off-stage drama begin to multiply and even their talent for improvisation cannot save the actors and their audience from the ensuing chaos …
Dubbed “the funniest farce ever written”, Michael Frayn’s play-within-a-play hilariously portrays the ups and downs of live theatre and leaves you wonder just how much is scripted … and how much is real.
Premiere: 23 January, 8 pm
Other dates: 24/27/28/30/31 January, 8 pm
